Spooktober Festival Blog Hop!

Cobwebs draped the darkened porch
Jack-o-lanterns glowed with a tiny torch
Ghosts danced merrily from stakes in the yard
Stew bubbled in the cauldron with vegetables they had charred
Razors glittered in the moonlight
While the barber prepared his chair for the evening shaving fight.


Okay, so I don't do horror very well.

      Thanks Jackie! Yeah, he's a sneaky barber. He got a bad shave one time and he's out for revenge now...Mawhahahaha!!!

    You didn't have to do horror but you did a great job! I wonder if this barber is related to Sweeny Todd that sneaky devil. Lets hope they don't serve meat pies.

      Thanks, Donna! Funny thing is, I go to a barber instead of a beautician! They do a great job, really. No shaving, though:)

    I enjoyed this short tale. It's almost a poem. If it is a poem, never mind me, I'd be hard pressed to write poetry.

The Writers Voice Entry

How excited am I? Can't you hear me laughing and squeeing, right there where you are? Yep! I'm excited! I made it tot he first round of the Writers Voice!! So today, I've posted my entry, here int his blog post, for the coaches to come around and read and decide if I'm ready to move on to the next round. Keep your fingers crossed for me PLEASE:) The entry I'm posting as went through numerous rounds of edits and revisions to get it where it is already. I've cut, squeezed, rearranged and replaced so much, I think my brain is on fire! I've changed names, combined characters, cut characters, and I've changed titles a couple of times and agonized over my genre until I cried . I've put th e first three chapters through a couple of workshops and had feedback from a few agents, so I'm sure I 've got the results I wanted. (I can be honest, can't I?) GUTGAA Meet and Greet!

Hey everyone! I'm taking a quick break from vacation to introduce myself and say hi! I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone and meeting some new friends! -Where do you write? I live in a camper. My writing spot? Usually in bed. But sometimes I get a chance to write in the "living room" but that's rare. When I am at home (yay!)
