Oh. Let's see. My favorite genres you ask? That's easy to list!
This will be a short, fun post:)
Fiction:
Christian Historical Fiction. Take me to another time and place and fill my mind with the romance of another era, and I may never come back.
Movie :
Drama. I love to cry during a movie. and if I am sitting on the edge of my seat during the entire movie, then it gets brownie point:)
Music:
Classical is my favorite. But no one in my house would listen to it, except during study times. So I guess I'll go with Christian Contemporary.
Guilty Pleasure?
Fantasy, Sci-fi Fiction and movie
50' and 60's sock hop music!
No wait. It's opera. No one in my family likes opera. But I do. Especially after a very stressful day.

I listen to Christian contemporary too! :)
ReplyDeleteWho's your favorite????
DeleteLove the dancing cat, and it sounds like fiction, sci-fi and fantasy, win the prize.
ReplyDeleteYes! I love prizes!
DeleteThe cat made me think of jazz/blues for some reason.. LOL! Great post!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Crystal. Thank you very much...:)
DeleteGreat answers. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the look of your blog, by the way. So cute!
Thanks, Rachel! I love this template!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love a good cry during a movie too. My last time I cried I watched The Help, and then there was War Horse. I can't watch any movie about a horse without bawling.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! Love the new look of your blog!
Oh, The Help was great!
DeleteThanks for visiting my blog:)
I love your guilty pleasures :) I like classics too, in song, movie, books, everything almost.
ReplyDeleteOh Yeah! You be my friend!!
DeleteThanks!
I also love a good tear jerker drama. Good choices.
ReplyDeleteHey Melissa! It's nice to see you! Let me know if you find a great movie and we can share a box of tissues. I've got the chocolate ready, too. :)
DeleteI like anything that makes me laugh.
ReplyDeleteHi Martin! It's been a couple of weeks since I visited your funny picture Friday posts. How's things going?
DeleteLove your choices in books, movies, and music. And like you, nobody in my house will listen to classical music except me. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda! I know. If everyone in my family loved classical music, that's probably all i would listen to;)
DeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteDropping over for the blogfest. I must say I think your blog is THE most happy one I have ever seen. It speaks volumes about you ... quirky, fun, and especially welcoming and friendly.
Glad I dropped by and followed.
CLassical music is so inspiring. Too bad the family doesn't enjoy it as much as you do...
Thank you for the kind remarks! You made me blush:) and smile too!
Deleteso you're classy & dramatic, sounds b&w, i love b&w =)
ReplyDeleteand a touh of fantasy & sci fi is dessert!
Such nice descriptions:)
DeleteHmmmm. B&W sounds like a swell cup of tea, which I like with cream and sugar. Another black and white, mixed:)
Interesting picks! Yes, movies that make you cry top my list, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the follow.

Hey Monti! Thanks for visiting and thanks for following my blog. I'm sooooooo close to 200 followers I can't believe it!
DeleteI love classical music. One of my biggest personal frustrations is that I've never made a bigger effort to educate myself about it. That doesn't stop me from listening to classical radio stations, but I'd love to take a college course on the different periods/eras/composers.
ReplyDeleteI have studied this and learned so much. It was fascinating. I studied the artists too with equal fascination:)
DeleteLovely choices! And I love how Christian Contemporary has become so much more mainstream now too. Such great music.
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you today!
Although rock is my favorite genre of music, I also enjoy classical. Some of my faves are Rossini, Schubert, Mozart ("Barber of Seville") and of course, Beethoven.
ReplyDeleteI once read a study (Harvard newsletter?) where it was proven that classical music significantly improved study habits and increased comprehension.
As for crying in a movie, nah, not down with that. lol
Classical isn't my favorite but there are times when it is just what I need. And I'll only watch a movie that makes me cry once.
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy classical music. Now if only I could tell my Mozarts from my Schuberts. :)
ReplyDeleteI like classical music to listen to, but if you ask me WHO I'm listening to, I'd probably have no idea!
ReplyDeleteHi. Thanks for sharing. I write horror with a Christian spin to it, so I thought I would say hello. I listen to rock and 80's hair metal, but lean on classical music when writing and in need of drowning out the noise of the teenagers in the house. *laughs*
ReplyDeleteVery good to meet you.
