I think the days go by faster every week because I cannot believe it's Friday already!
Today, I'm thankful we finished my teen daughters room. She decided to paint it and she picked out tan, sea foam green and red. Her bathroom is fire engine red and her room is green and tan with red accents. She's got owls everywhere!
It took us four days.
Now we are moving into my 4yo daughters room. She want pink and purple and red, Hmmm...
What about you beautiful guys and dolls? What are you so happy about this week? Please leave a comment!

I bet you will celebrate even more when all of the painting is finished!
ReplyDeleteYes I will. Thing is, I still have son's bedroom, kid's bathroom, kids living room, kitchen, family room, my bedroom and bathroom, and my office and the 1/2 bath. Wow.
DeleteI'm with your 4 year old daughter with the pink and purple but I think I'd hold the red! It's great isn't it when they start having their own ideas. Happy painting :)
ReplyDeleteYea, no reds in her pink and purple room. And she wants unicorns and princesses, not owls:)
DeleteHow fun for them! I like these projects a lot... in my head... then when it starts and I'm 2 days in, I'm ready to finish lol
ReplyDeleteYay for being done with one, good luck with the other ;)
I'm the same way. You can tell where we painted first. The first day or two we took our time and made sure there were no dribbles and splats. The last day or two, it got a little messier...
DeleteMy daughter has paint samples taped to her walls right now in preparation for a summer painting spree of her room. Right now she's torn between two shades of purple, or a super dark pink.
ReplyDeleteMy son could care less and left his paint sample cards in the cubby in the car door for the past two weeks. :)

Pink and purple are always popular with girls, huh? And boys really don't care about the planning and process. But once it's finished, they love you for it!
DeletePainting is a lot of work. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteI know! Especially with so many colors!
DeleteMy girl is collecting, paint, pictures, rugs, etc., to re-do her room this summer, too. I only hope we can get it done in four days...
ReplyDeleteIt's so much work, it'll be nice to have everything ready once you start!
DeleteYour daughters certainly know what they want, and that is a great thing! I love owls, btw, always have. They seem pensive and poised.
ReplyDeleteWe are also in the process of redoing our 4 year old's room. We're not repainting the room, but we did just buy her a new bed and bedding set. She checks the front door every day to see if her "new room" has arrived. It's cute.
Enjoy the redecorating! Be well...
Awww! Kids are so fabulously sweet aren't they!
DeleteRedecorating is so much fun! I'm not allowed to decorate my place as it is rented, although that does save some back ache. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHappy painting! :-)
It's a good thing I enjoy painting. Well, I enjoy decorating and planning. The physical work is not as much fun:( Yep, My back and arms and legs all hurt for a day or two!
DeleteWell at least you already have the red paint. :)
ReplyDeleteI joined the blogfest today

It's great you're giving them those memories. I remember when my mom allowed us to paint our room - a rare allowance, and it remains my favorite room memory of sorts. :) Writer’s Mark
ReplyDeleteWell done on the decorating. That sounds like it was a very Big thing... :)
ReplyDeleteAw sounds like they are having fun picking out their colours!!
