Celebrating the small things

It's short and sweet today my beautiful guys and dolls. I'm working on a submission request that's got my nerves on fire! I'm so excited I can't think of anything else right now. I HAVE to write a synopsis so I can send my request over to a marvelous agent from #PitMad.

Yes, that's a celebration!! WooHoo!!!!!

    Ink, that's great! The synopsis is always so tough. I'm wrestling with the one for my third book right now.

      I agree! I think it's something every writer should work on while actually writing the manuscript. Just tweak as you write...

      Evil is right! It's something I don't mind doing, but getting it "right" is a different story!

    Wow, what a great way to end a week, Ink. Congratulations on the request! Synopsises are evil but we all gotta live with 'em don't we. ;-) My celebration is...I finally turned in that R&R to the agent. Waiting eagerly on her response.....oy vey....means I am refreshing my e-mail like crazy.

    Yay! I'm working on a synopsis, too, and it's bumming me so much. I like my query, I like my novel...I don't like writing things between those two lengths.

    Woo hooo! That is so exciting. I get so jealous when I see these things like PitchWars and PitMad because my manuscript is not completed!! I can't wait until its done and polished so I can work ever so hard to get an agent's attention with it :) ...Congrats on your requests though!

      I used to be the same way! I'll admit, I am still so shoked at the requests I received today. I just hope it goes further than a query and 10 page looksy! But I did have one partial request, too:)

Writer in Motion Round two

Hey beautiful guys and dolls!! Welcome to my first post during WRITER IN MOTION round two. I was lucky enough to be chosen in the raffle to have my short, 1,000 word or less flash fiction chosen to be edited by a professional editor! So, follow along  my journey as I go from prompt to polished draft in for weeks. Out first post is prepping for the first draft. Given the prompt, what were my first thoughts and what did I do to prep the character, story, and plot?? HEre's the photo prompt: Honestly, it didn't speak me. At all. I was lost, and my excitement quickly deflated like a helium balloon stuffed in the back of a dark closet. Not because I didn't like the photo. I LOVED it. But because I was completely lost in ideas. So, I put the put the picture away, and ignored it. Well, that's not true. The photo haunted me for hours. Who was this girl? Why was she here? What had happened up to this point in time?
