Gearing Up For a Fabulous Weekend!

My plans have changed for this weekend! I got voted to the Final Round of GUTGAA Small Press Contest!

That's rightm my dear, sweet friends. For all of you who read my ISWG rants, I cried too soon. Yes I did! Guess what???

I'm moving on to the finals over at Deana's blog, which I already said. but I have more good news!

I had an agent request my full novella over on Brenda Drakes Writes...Under the Influence of Coffee!

Not only that, but I received an email from an agent, requesting another manuscript!

Woo-Hoo!!!!!!

So my plans for the weekend will be polishing up these manuscripts, double checking the spelling typos, and sending the request to proper agents.

Then, I will be checking, page by page, my manuscript for the Small Press contest. I have found that you can hit the spell checker all you want, my my technologically advanced MacBook Pro does not catch missing words. So, I will be reading, backwards, my manuscript for GUTGAA and spot checking and editing for those minor mistakes.

Busy, busy!

What about you? Do you have any exciting news? What are your plans this weekend? Do you have anything new on your menu of activities?

    1. Thanks! I fell head over heals for this template. I'm soo looking forward to the winter holidays so I can add some snowflakes!!!!

It has been marvelous this month. And it's so funny cause only a couple of days ago, i was totally depressed and ready to quit writing for a while.

      Emotions are a funny thing...

    1. Fun time Editing? Some times I really like it, only when i am refining a scene. But checking for spelling errors is NOT fun. It's tiresome and so easy to overlook. Yikes. i just scared myself out of it...hehe!

    1. I know Alex. Kinda feel silly after my earlier tears. But it doesn't hurt to cry every now and then, does it?

  5. Oh they're meant to be leaves. I get

This file removed due to violation of ImageShack Term of Service or by user request.

Hard to read past the huge text blocking.
But congrats! I got in the GUTGAA too!

    1. I know! I know! I was so worried when we were both going up against the tie breaker! I was rooting for you, but I wanted to win, too!

And don't know why it would say there was a violation. My leaves came from The Cutest Blog on the Block, so I don't know what's up with that?

Any way, congrats to you, too! Woohoo!!!!!!

  6. Congratulations! That is awesome. (I know I said I would quit using it, sorry.) WONDERFUL!

Sometimes tears get you through to the next chapter. It's life, and it sounds like yours is about to get lots more exciting!

Have a great weekend. Try to find some independent eyes, they always catch the stuff we don't. :)

  7. Congratulations! It just goes to show that the writing business really is subjective, and what one person thinks is trite, uncommercial, boring, too popular, etc., will be exactly what someone else is looking for.

  10. That GUTGAA looked like fun, but way too big a commitment for me right now. I'm impressed with anyone who can step up to that kind of competition. Well done on getting so far!
