Insecure Writer's Support Group April, 2015

What happened to March? How did it go by so fast??

Crazy time flies......

So how is everyone? I hope you're all happy, healthy, and safe!

What am I insecure about this month?

1. It's April, which means it's Camp Nano. I'm tackling TWO projects. Why two? Because I have two plot ideas and they both are ready to write. Plus, I've got several days I'll be able to write completely undistracted this month. Yes, I'm taking advantage of this!

2. Our older Macbook crashed and because of it's age (2006) it can't be fixed in the local shop. Which means we'd have to send it away. Which will cost a boat load of money. Which still doesn't guarantee it can be fixed. I lost A LOT of stuff. I mean, look how long we had it? This means I lost a lot of my writing stuff, notes, WIP's and manuscripts. So... that's sad.

    I'm sorry you lost some of your writing! Sounds like you need a new laptop.

    Wow, two projects! Go you! I've never done Camp Nano but it sounds like it's a great way to be productive :)

    I hope your computer can be fixed! I'm so lucky to still have my MacBook Pro working, since I need to go back onto it to hyperlink tables of contents and convert into HTML. I was sadly unable to open Word 2004 when I got my new computer, and was smart enough to not update the operating system on the old computer. I'd be up the creek without a paddle if I didn't have Word on a functional computer.

    Right now? I'm thinking I should do a manual back up on my computers. Thanks for the reminder and sorry for your loss.

    I hope by now that you didn't try to fix it, but only to get what was on the drive off. I have a "cloud" now for that reason. EVER Blog Hop!!!!!

I joined a blog hop flash writing contest with/for Jessa Russo. It's in honor of her first EVER book release. I met Jessa during the Curiosity Quills Blog hop. I have never read a ghost story, but after reading Jessa's query and first few pages and then learning more about her ghost Frankie, I was so inspired, I fell in love -with Frankie. I was so inspired, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and write a story I had never written before and never thought I would write. Or even want to write. But I did, and I did. My piece for the contest is a small part of my bigger manuscript I wrote. I had to modify and change a few things so the story would make sense, but I think it works.
